Babé Sila is a Budapest born singer, songwriter and musician based in London and New York City.
After being hailed as the Hungarian queen of R&B in her native country she decided to take the next step forward and started working in Berlin / New York City on her collaborations and moved to London to increase exposure and establish her creative community abroad.
Growing up in a multicultural environment and years of songwriting helped her find her own sound and find confidence in realising her very own artistic visions. From a young age she was inspired by artists like Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys, Sade and Aretha Franklin.
Her delicate vocals and soulful lyrics float effortlessly over head nodding beats, deep bass-lines and warm chords. Storytelling is her way of processing emotions and preserving memories. Her lyricism favours honesty, fragility, and plays with the duality of being soft and expressive at the same time.
Her soulful creations are best enjoyed with open windows and warm breezes.
